The Story

The audience is invited to the small German village of Weisnichtwie. Here with traditional German music and entertainment they are taken on a spectacular journey through a day in the life of its extremely funny and interesting inhabitants.

Nothing is as it seems and from what at first appears to be a sleepy country village the audience is quickly drawn into a world were paintings can talk, people climb ladders without leaning them against walls and the simple act of laying a table can turn into a balancing act of bratwurst juggling. There is even the chance to learn the Beethoven Directions Rap.

Oh and watch out for the weather forecast because in Weisnichtwie it's a real experience!

The audience can help all of this to happen through interacting in German with the actors.

Style of performance
Lively and interactive with clearly spoken text. Music, comedy and circus skills enable even those with a limited grasp of the language to enjoy and learn from the performance.

Learning Materials Vocabulary list and wordsearch.

Feedback
“Really good performance, especially the audience participation. Pitched at the right level for Year 7 beginners but Year 8 enjoyed it as well.” Abbeyfield School, Chippenham 13th July 2010

“We had a great time. It was very slick, very funny, and engaging, as well as focused on language appropriate to this level.” St Mary’s School Calne 18th January 2010
